The Stripe Situation

Today's an update email.

I haven't emailed anything over the past 3 days.

Because of three things:

Scrambling with the payment migration

Recovering from the mad dash (physical & mental energy)

Recovering my emotional energy

The biggest emotional drain was the insults that Stripe hurled at me throughout this process.

They don't use rude words. In fact they're very polite.

But they politely slander me while hurling baseless accusations without proof.

It's alright if they don't want me as customer.

But to accuse me of "offering unrealistic promises of quick financial gains with minimal effort"?

Without the willingness to present any form of proof or explanation?

Then repeating that line in EVERY SINGLE EMAIL they sent me?

That's too much.

The refusal to explain why they think this way, refusal to present proof, and constantly repeating that same line.

That's slander.

None of my clients would say I am making unrealistic promises.

"Minimal effort" is the opposite of my message.

I say things as they are, the way I see it.

And it's truly upsetting to be labeled this way.

The only "money" promise I made was to get 8 clients in 16 weeks.

How is 2 new clients per month "unrealistic" in any way?

Meanwhile, you have gurus making "I will make you a millionaire next year" as their main promise using Stripe freely.

We don't see those people getting their accounts canceled by Stripe.

With all that being said, it might surprise you that I am still choosing to create a new Stripe account and try again.

Reason is that I am prioritizing practicality.

I'm probably never going to forgive Stripe for this.

But the only non-code way I can migrate all my subscriber data is from one Stripe account to the next.

Which means I am gonna give this another shot while also trying other payment processors.

I am aware of many other payment processor options.

But they all need some sort of webhook or Zapier/Make integration in order to talk to Systeme (my chosen platform).

And if I do that, what's the point of doing Swipe My Funnels?

I'd basically be back to square one in terms of the issue with different apps talking to each other.

I DON'T want to have to set up external redirects and all of that stuff, considering my client acquisition model.

Everything has to be simple, simple, and simple.

So as much as possible, I'd like to stick with processors that Systeme can integrate with.

Two other processors that I have access to that ALSO have integration with Systeme are PayPal and Xendit.

I've integrated my personal PayPal as contingency in case the new Stripe account faces the same problem.

And applied for Xendit.

Now waiting to hear back from them.

To mitigate compliance issues, I created a compliant website and removed all the big claims from it.

So the new Stripe "should not" have the same issue.

In the meantime, I've managed to solve one big point of stress.

Which has got to do with all of those paying subscribers.

Do I manually send them links to resubscribe individually, creating new "products" under new payment processor reflective of how many more months they have left?

Hell no that sounds like a nightmare.

Thankfully, I learned how to migrate all customer payment information from old Stripe to new Stripe account.

Which releases a lot of stress for me.

It means I didn't have to ask all my subscribers to resubscribe.

Yesterday I took the whole day to do the following:

I first cancelled all the old subscriptions

Then manually recreated each of them under the new Stripe according to their appropriate tenure. Meaning if someone has 3 months left, I set the new subscriptions as 3 months left.

Then I informed all my subscribers one by one to be alert for any unforeseen charges.

I'm thankful for having such an amazing client base in AI Client Factory because they have been really understanding about the transition.

And now, I have done all the due diligence I could.

Today is the day where Stripe said they will shut down my old account.

And though I have prepared everything, I can't help but feel a measure of trepidation.

Would the new Stripe account get shut down along with the old one?

Stripe team told me that's not gonna happen but who knows.

I'll keep you guys updated.

Today's part 1.

And as of now, we have hit the end of the half-year mark.

Which means it's time to update you guys on the progress of my Big Goal this year:

"Document 20 successful cases of AI business implementation."

I have a lot to say about that so I'll save it for tomorrow.
