I haven’t written anything in days.
At the start of each day, I thought to myself “This is it, I can update something positive.”
And then came the rest of the day and I went like “Nope.”
Ah.
So, here’s an update on what’s been happening.
NEO’s entered alpha testing now.
I wish we could go into beta immediately, but…
Bugs.
Bugs, everywhere.
Login screen. Bug.
Google Doc fetch function. Bug.
Adding knowledge files. Bug.
Construct Protocol. Bug.
Long prompts. Bug.
As an added bonus, every time I click on a button to go to a new screen, I have to wait 3-10 seconds (yay)
And, when we tested the payment system, payment went through but credits aren’t being added to the user.
MASSIVE BUG RIGHT THERE.
My technical partner is a well-paid senior developer at a tech company.
He uses AI to help him code.
In spite of that, this is where we’re at after 6 months as a two-man show.
Granted, a huge chunk of that 6 months were spent not moving, but still…
It really goes to show how much sh- those AI bros are talking when they keep telling everyone they coded an entire app overnight using an AI agent and “is making $20K/mo”...
In reality, things are a lot harder than it sounds.
If I have to use an analogy, it’s like making fried rice.
You want to cook fried rice for your family? Great. Easy.
Making fried rice as your business though…not so easy.
Anyway, there’s almost 40 of you who applied to join as NEO’s beta tester.
But unfortunately, I can’t release it for beta right now.
I’m a big believer that I personally have to test and ensure basic functionalities are working well before we open for even beta.
Beta testing is to test how the system works at scale, not testing basic functionalities.
It’s only ethical.
I hope you can take this as a sign that you can trust me on NEO once I release NEO for the public.
