My mission statement has evolved.
“Make complexity simple enough to navigate. Show people how money actually works. Give them frameworks to see cause and effect. Do it without making them feel stupid. And put my own damn name on it.”
We live in a world of growing complexity.
As I reflect on all the conflicts happening in the world today, I feel a great sense of uneasiness over what will happen in the coming years.
My gut feeling says that it’s nothing good.
We’re probably heading to a very rough time ahead.
And I find myself feeling small - that these issues are too big for me to help.
It is easy to be emotional in such moments.
To reduce complex matters into oversimplified rhetoric of right vs wrong, good vs evil.
It’s a lot.
And I feel a pull to put my head in the sand - ignore all these things and just focus on myself.
I do. I do want to focus on myself.
But at the same time, I don’t want to be one of those people who would do nothing.
What can I do though?
For a while, I was lost.
But now, I figured it out.
I may not necessarily have all the pieces.
I may not necessarily be the smartest, most talented, or wealthiest person to work on all these issues.
But I think that, in my own way, I can assist.
Because I refuse to do nothing.
Except I won’t do things in a way that I see so many people doing, which is to engage in preaching what they think is right.
I think that all this preaching isn’t working.
All it has ever done is create sides when none was needed in the first place.
The us-versus-them mentality.
Discourse is, and always will be, necessary in the pursuit of truth.
To trade perspectives - willingly - with people who don’t agree with us.
Yet we find ourselves in a world where everyone is seeking “like-minded” individuals.
Algorithms feeding us exactly the content and messaging we already agree with.
Society encourages us to group up and flock to the nearest community of people who believe as we do.
But staying in our echo chambers is not the way.
We need more openness, willingness to admit being wrong, and ability to be challenged as well as challenge in equal measure.
In a civilized way.
The way we are heading in terms of global politics, I don’t see this improving.
People are already losing their minds even before we add AI into the mix.
Which, I remind you, is trained to say exactly what you want to hear and reinforce (not challenge) your worldviews.
And I’m terrified of the prospect of a future where every generation is getting dumber and dumber.
Where people outsource their thinking to AI. AI creates dumb content, which is then re-fed to the next AI generation to create even more dumb content that people won’t even know how to discern - because they are getting too dumb to realize it.
The world does not need more opinions.
It doesn’t need more what-to-thinks.
It needs more how-to-thinks.
It needs more intelligence.
Critical thinking. Discernment. Empathy. Emotional stability. Resilience. Personal responsibility. Civility.
We need minds that are expanding.
And so I arrive at this:

This gave me a strong sense of conviction.
Because no matter what, here’s something that I’ve always already been doing - even if I don’t advertise myself that way.

Will all be based on this as the guiding light.
This gave me a great sense of clarity as well.
This month onwards, I am resuming my workshops (projects).
They may or may not be based on NEO.
Every project will be focused on helping folks understand or DO something that is usually complex.
That will help them make money.
And help them understand WHY they are now making money.
I think that this alongside NEO and Augmented Intelligence, will be the most important thing I can do with my life.
