The typical wheel-of-life approach gives you 9-12 separate goals.
One for every area of life they can think of.
I've tried this method for years.
Failed every single time.
I'd set 9 different goals. Make a plan for each one.
Then reality hits.
I'd focus on business goals and neglect health.
Or focus on health and neglect relationships.
Or try to do everything at once and burn out by February.
The reason is simple:
Too much effort pulled in too many directions.
You end up making progress nowhere instead of making real progress somewhere.

I could have set separate goals for business, health, and relationships.

Peace of mind (predictable systems that don't require me to be "on" all the time).
One goal. All areas improved.
This is the consolidation principle.
We don't ignore the 9 areas.
We map them carefully to find which 1-3 goals will move the most pieces on the board.
