Being Relatable vs Relating

Most people try so hard to be relatable.

They manufacturing struggles, perform authenticity, and craft vulnerability.

But that's backwards and if I may suggest - probably ineffective.

Trying to be Relatable is an inefficient thing to do.

It's putting on a show of commonality, in hopes of creating connection.

That's a lot of work for some likes.

There's a better way.

Instead of trying to be Relatable, just 'Relate'.

And when you do, that instantly makes you Relatable.

It means understanding how the world looks from your audience's perspective.

Not pretending to be them.

Understanding them.

When you're trying to be relatable, you're focused on yourself: How you appear, what image you project, and whether people will like you.

When you're relating, you're focused on them: Their experiences, challenges, and reality.

One creates performance.

The other creates connection.

It just takes a little Heart Work.

Which is exactly what content creation needs, and what makes content creation enjoyable.

When every post feels like pulling teeth, you can't tune in. You're too busy managing your own resistance.

When you're chasing viral formulas, you can't see real patterns. You're too focused on metrics.

In the end, you just burn out because you've been forcing yourself to dance to the tune of what you think others might like.

The Authority Scalers' way of creating content is different.

We focus on YOUR lived experiences.

  • What you're going through

  • What conversations you're having internally and externally

  • What your clients, prospects, and market is telling you

And turn those into content.

Daily reflection forces you to slow down and be present.

To notice. To extract real insights from true, lived experiences.

You stop asking "What should I post today?" and start seeing "What actually happened today that matters?"

Which is why I am hosting The Evolving Authority workshop tomorrow.

Together, we will install an AI system that helps you turn your daily experiences into compelling content that sells.

Slower than 'content batching.'

But so much more powerful.

Your content stops being manufactured and starts being mined from reality.

Your audience feels the shift immediately and true connection emerges.

They stop seeing content and start seeing your truth.

And sales follow naturally because trust already exists.

The Evolving Authority workshop happens tomorrow.
