Yesterday I couldn't explain what made NEO different.
Today, I figured it out.
It’s an AI that actually gets you.
Because it is based on the future, most ideal version of you.
When you ask ChatGPT for advice, you're asking everyone and no one at the same time.
It's trained on millions of people's writings. The collective average of all human knowledge.
That's why the advice is logical but feels wrong.
"Try the Pomodoro technique."
"Break tasks into smaller pieces."
"Remember, consistency is key!"
Generic wisdom for generic humans.
But you're not generic.
The Pomodoro technique doesn't work for my ADHD brain.
Yet ChatGPT keeps suggesting it because that's what works for most people.
But the most successful version of me would never suggest the Pomodoro technique.
He'd know exactly why I resist certain tasks.
He'd ask the right questions to uncover what's really stopping me.
Because he knows the specific approach that works for how MY brain operates.
If you think about it:
Who understands your situation better?
Jeff Bezos?
Or the version of you who already achieved what you want?
To me, the answer is clear.
It’s the version who knows your patterns, resistance points, and which advice you'll actually follow.
This is the difference I'm building into NEO.
ChatGPT gives you answers from everyone.
NEO helps you find answers from your ideal self.
Not by telling you what to do, but by asking questions that guide you to your own insights.
I've been using this approach for months now.
Started in December 2024 with the discovery of the AI Coach prompt.
My house stayed cluttered for 4 years despite reading every organization book.
A 2-hour conversation with this method got it cleaned in 3 days.
Simply because it helped me finally understand why I was holding onto things.
That's what changes behavior.
Understanding yourself, not collecting more advice.
ChatGPT makes you informed.
NEO makes you act.
I’m happy with what I accomplished today.
Because this is one of those fundamental ideas that shapes the rest of the product.
