Felix is a fraud

Last week someone called me a fraud.

This man voluntarily opted in to my mailing list.

Join in, sees my welcome email which basically says three things:

  1. I will send you one email every day

  2. I will make you an offer every day

  3. You can unsubscribe anytime

About a week in, he saw my email about how I’m done with Anthropic.

Replied: “I can be helpful more.”

No context, no introduction, and no explanation.

Last week he received my email about Agent 101 webinar, and decided to call me a spammer.

Why? Because I’ve been doing what I promised - sending emails every day.

So I called him stupid and told him to unsubscribe.

He responded immediately, and in the next few exchanges called me a fraud, told me how he could have helped me, and that I have “blew it.”

Said I have “no business” going into software development.

Admittedly, I pushed his button.

I’m not going to deny his 25 years of experience.

Neither will I deny my lack of experience and technical skills.

But I put myself out there, decided to learn something completely new with the help of AI and put my work into production to shoot my shot at 1M1B.

I thought it was unfair for a minute. Then I remembered - this shit is normal.

Hate and misunderstanding is part and parcel of what we do. It comes with the package.

As I was putting this away to go about my day something else dawned on me.

An observation.

This attitude: “You have no business doing software development.”

I see it everywhere.

In Facebook groups, X threads, and my YouTube content.

For both me and strangers online - anyone who posts any content at all about AI.

I posted about the new Overseer feature on my Facebook the other day and someone random simply commented: “Overseer of AI slop”

It seems, at first, that the thing is about just people being nasty.

But if I remove my feelings out of the equation, I don’t think its a coincidence that I am seeing people making commentaries such as these.

And usually people making such commentaries are developers with X years experience under their belt.

Its interesting because just as how marketers like myself has “no business” going into software development…

Developers are also going into marketing all the same.

Why?

Because all this is connected.

Marketers go into the software world. Developers go into the marketing world.

Because of AI, our worlds are colliding.

And people are simply desperately trying to hold on to their relevance.

THAT…is why people put people down.

Not because people were trying to be funny or nasty, but because the ground is shifting beneath their feet and they don’t know if their backup plan is going to work.

We are about to enter a period of high uncertainty and we must prepare.

I made a video about this, and why I believe this is just the beginning.
